Terms to Graduation

This graph illustrates the number of terms first time freshmen (those without any substantial transfer credit) students spend at CSUN before graduating. Each curve shows the percentage of students in the corresponding freshmen class who have graduated after the specified number of regular (spring or fall semesters) terms.

Drop-out Rate vs Graduation Rate

The persistence of  first-time freshmen at CSUN is shown here. Each curve shows the average GPA, as a function of number of regular session terms enrolled, of all students who graduated (or otherwise left CSUN)  after attending for the same number of regular session terms (Fall and Spring; summer and winter sessions not included for this analysis).

Each curve in this plot shows the average GPA of transfer students who graduated (or otherwise left CSUN) after attending CSUN for the same number of terms. Terms are measured from the first term enrolled at CSUN. Only regular session terms (Fall and Spring) are included in this analysis.

Student Load: How Many Courses Do Students Take?

Student-Load-Heat-Map-Vs-Term
Heat map of total units taken by CSUN students over a ten year period, as a function of term on camps (only regular Fall and Spring terms are included, not summer and winter sessions).
Units-attempted-completed
Are there an optimal number of units for First Time Freshmen? The circles are proportional in size to the number of students with the given course load.
